Manager Duties & Responsibilities

Cooperative Managers on Coopunify occupy a position of trust and professional responsibility. They are expected to manage cooperative societies with competence, integrity, and strict adherence to cooperative principles, regulatory standards, and platform policies.

Core Managerial Responsibilities


  • Onboard and manage cooperative societies on the Coopunify platform.
  • Oversee member registration, admission, and exit processes.
  • Ensure accurate recording of contributions, loans, and financial transactions.
  • Implement and enforce society byelaws and approved policies.
  • Maintain proper records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Governance & Compliance Duties


  • Ensure societies operate in line with cooperative laws and regulations.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct.
  • Support executive committees while maintaining platform governance limits.
  • Prepare societies for internal and external audits where required.

Training & Continuous Professional Development


To maintain high professional standards, all cooperative managers are required to participate in periodic training programmes organized by Coopunify.

  • Mandatory onboarding training upon registration, covering platform usage and operational standards.
  • Participation in annual training or seminars conducted by the Coopunify team.
  • Continuous learning on emerging cooperative practices, compliance requirements, and digital governance.

Annual Subscription Requirement


To remain active on the Coopunify platform, each cooperative manager is required to pay an annual subscription fee of ₦50,000. This fee covers access to the platform, ongoing system improvements, training programmes, and professional support services.

Professional Conduct & Accountability


  • Act in the best interest of societies and their members at all times.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose them where they arise.
  • Safeguard sensitive member and society data.
  • Accept responsibility for actions performed on the platform.
  • Cooperate with platform reviews, audits, or compliance checks.

Failure to comply with these duties and responsibilities may result in suspension or revocation of manager privileges on the Coopunify platform, in line with established policies and procedures.
